On May 15, 2016, NiS+TS conducted an informal research walk, “Pennies from Hell,” with about 15 people. NiS+TS walkers started out at the XYZ marker in the community gardens behind Devonshire Arena, checked out the “black rain” debris on Roome Street, and explored some sites down by the waterfront, including the shipyard.
NiS+TS heard feedback from participants about the stories told later that year, on December 6, 2016 (the 99th anniversary of the Halifax Explosion).
